HIKING

You just need to get out of the gate and choose which side you want to start your hiking. We have all the information at your disposal, from all the possible routes, whether by the country side or by the sea.

BIRDWACHTING

Do you know what are the predominant bird species around here? You will be amazed! From jays, eagles, bee-eaters, to woodpeckers, storks, amongst many others! We don´t want to spoil the surprise. Come and find out!

If you would like to try the Monte da Urze Picnic, you may do so by asking us 24hours in advance.
You may take it anywhere in the farm and enjoy the environment around you. Please contact us for more information.

POOL (Temporarely Closed)

At the old way, the tank. This one with a round shape, is perfect for refreshing on those warmer days and after, to enjoy the shades of the trees around, maybe for a nap, who knows.

BEACHES

Only 5 minutes away you will find Vale dos Homens Beach, a beach (amongst many others) that we want to maintain as pure as we find it, followed by Praia da Amoreira and many others along the way.

Horse Riding

Did you know that right outside Monte da Urze, we have neighbours with horses that do horseback riding tours? And also if you never learnt how to ride a horse, they give lessons? Ask us we will tell you all about it! 

Breakfast and Drinks Corner

Everyday we have at your disposal at the Breakfast room, a delicious breakfast with fresh products, some homemade and from local producers, and when its the right season, also from our own production from our garden. 

Breakfast is composed by bread, croissant, cake, yogurt, tea, coffee, milk, juice, cereal, egg, cheese, ham, fruit, butter and jam. In case you have a food allergy or any restriction, please inform in advance so we can offer you alternatives.

 Drinks corner or how we also call it "Honesty Bar", where you can find some drinks and snacks , here you may take them yourself for more convinience.
This is a way of giving you the freedom to help yourself as if you were at home.

Meet Abby & Pine

You will also find our two dogs Abby (Irish Setter) and Pine (Serra da Estrela mountain dog), who love to hang around or just sit next to people.
